Hi, my name is Nicole and I am 22 yrs old. I was graduating from college in 2007 and would no longer be covered under my dad’s insurance at the end of the year. My dad told me about the Gardasil vaccine and thought it would be a good idea for me to get it before I lost my insurance.
I had my first shot on August 13th of 2007. I felt fine after receiving it and had no side effects…yet. The one thing I did notice is that it left a little mark on my arm, almost like an ink dot.
On September 8th, 3 weeks and 5 days later, I was driving to work and had just driven onto the expressway. The last thing I remember is looking for traffic and getting over into the left hand lane. I started coming to when I felt the paramedics grabbing me, but I couldn’t see anything. I asked what had happened and they told me that I had been in an accident and not to move. I was terrified and immediately started to cry in disbelief.
I was rushed to the ER. When my family arrived, they told me that luckily I had not been in an actual car accident. When my dad went to get my car, he said that it was half-way parked on the median, like I had intentionally parked it there knowing that something was wrong, but I do not remember anything. I went to the doctors and they were just calling it a syncope since no one was with me to verify what had happened.
After that everything was fine, and for the most part back to normal, but I still couldn’t help but wonder what had happened to me that day. I was scheduled for my next vaccine on October 15th, when the nurse came in I asked her about the dot on my arm and wondered if anyone else had ended up with one after receiving their shot. She told me no and that she had never seen that before, just chuckled and said “well hopefully it doesn’t happen this time”. But after I received the second one I noticed that I had another ink dot. I didn’t understand why that would happen, but I just brushed it off.
On November 9th, 3 wks and 4 days later, I was in my room talking to my sister on the phone, the next thing I know I am hearing my Uncle Bill say my name, but again I couldn’t see anything. I finally got my vision back and saw my Uncle Bill and paramedics standing in my room staring at me. I had no clue what was going on, I asked what had happened and they told me that I had a seizure. I didn’t want to believe it! But I guess my niece heard some weird noises coming from my room so she walked into my room to see what it was, and saw me on my bed convulsing and making a weird noise, so she called 911.
I was taken to the ER again and cried even more. I just didn’t get what was going on, I had never had serious health problems, so why now? I started thinking back to the incident in my car, and calculated the days. It just seemed a little strange that 3 weeks and some odd days after receiving these vaccines I had these 2 episodes.
After the second seizure, I had tons of tests done and everything came back normal, so I was really confused. Now I am on medication and have to see a neurologist, and I am uninsured, so my dad has been paying out of pocket to pay for my visits, but luckily I was able to get assistance for my medication and no longer have to pay for that, and believe me it is not cheap.
After all of this I had nothing else happen, so I was thinking that I was in the clear, but then on Easter of this year I had another seizure, but it only lasted a minute or so, which is very short compared to my other two.
This whole experience has been very hard on me and my whole family, and I still cry about this a lot. It just makes me feel like I will never be the same person that I was before all of this, the healthy woman with so much ahead of her. But it is sad to say that I am one of the luckier ones compared to some other stories I have read, especially those of younger girls.

Following the Gardasil injections, my daughter developed a gradual onset of symptoms, including debilitating joint pain, arthritis, fatigue, severe headaches with vomiting and light sensitivity, and dizziness, that carried on for more than 12 months. Only following treatment with prednisone, have some of the symptoms settled down enough for her to attend school. – The symptoms, however, have not gone away. The specialist does NOT know the cause and her many tests are normal.
There are several mothers (now worldwide) wanting answers as to why our daughters have developed auto immune disorders, seizures, etc following the Gardasil vaccine. We are talking to each other and posting our stories. There seems to be something happening in some girls following these shots.

Hi…this is my story, but I have some updates that I would like to share. Since sending in my story I have had 2 more seizures. On November 22, 2008, I was at my boyfriend’s house sitting on his couch studying, and ended up having a seizure. It only lasted about a minute or so, but it scared him alot, this is the second time that he has seen me go into a seizure and he is the only one that has seen it happen from beginning til the end. He said I was making a noise that made it seem like I was choking on my tongue and immediately called my mom. I remember looking down at my hands and that is when I started coming out of it. I asked him what happened and why he was talking to my mom and that is when he told me that I had another seizure. Afterwards I actually felt ok and did not feel exhausted like I usually do after a seizure. I asked if we could go to my house and see my mom, so we did. After we got to my house, I ate a little bit and still felt fine for the most part, and watched some of the OSU vs MICH game. I had to go to the bathroom, so I went upstairs to go. Everything was fine and I got ready to wash my hands, but then the next thing I remember is opening my eyes and realizing that I was on the floor in between the wall and my bathtub. I immediately ran downstairs and told my boyfriend and mom. After that I felt very tired and fell asleep for about 4 hrs. When I woke up my head hurt on the one side, so I’m pretty sure that I hit it on my tub when I fell, but of course I don’t really know what happened because I didn’t have anyone in there to witness it. That is the first time that I have ever had 2 seizures in one day…I’ve never had 2 in one month so for me to have 2 in a day is just crazy to me. So my total count now is 5 seizures. After these last 2 I went and seen a specialist on Jan 29th and just was told that I have partial seizures, so who knows what is going to happen from here. The only good news that I have is that its now March and I haven’t had anymore seizures since November.
Has anyone suggested that you seek the advice of a Dr. of Naturopathy? Obviously your body has been invaded by some major toxins which somehow have affected your brain.
Our American diet is pretty sad. Hopefully a good detox program and some good raw food nutrients will help your body heal itself. There is much research information on the internet about natural healing. Good Luck.

Tell me, were there any emotional side effects by chance after you first got your shots?

And I don’t mean did the seizures make you feel that way, I mean did the shot have any emotional side effects?
I just found out today, that women have been having negative effects from this, like i found out a girl died, and it has caused women to be inferitle(spelling?). i freaked out, because i took that, i finished my shots about a year or so ago. i never had any major side effects only that my arm was sore for a couple days.

My daughter seems to be experencing the same systoms as you. She also is have seizures. She know they are coming, because she gets a intense pain on the top of her head.. Once the pain starts she has about 30 seconds to get to a safe place. But with that said she will not remember getting herself to a safe place or alerting anyone. After the epiode which can last anywhere from 2 to 50mins, she remembers nothing. We also had a diognois of syncope (nerocardiogentic syncope). I can even get a doctor to acknowledge that gardasil could be a possability. It can be so frustrating. She just turned 16, she can’t drive or work and misses so much school she can’t keep up. It’s all so frustrating.
